food testing
If you are struggling to make a health breakthrough it may be time to do a food test.
Having food sensitivities is like an alarm bell going off in your body every time you eat an offending food.
Your immune system kicks into action sending fighter cells to defend you and it really does wear down the system. You can try and guess which foods are causing you problems (usually those you crave) and do an elimination diet.
However doing an elimination diet on your own can be a long and frustrating process.
You are never really certain if you have excluded enough foods for long enough,
and how do you know when you are clear?
You may have cut out milk only to later discover you were also sensitive to eggs.
Or cut out wheat but not the oats, both of which have gluten.
A food test gets rid of the guesswork and gets you on track quickly, saving time and frustration.
You can become sensitive to foods even after being fine on them in the past.
Changes in stomach acid, enzyme levels, nutritional status or simply being in a weakened state can contribute to food sensitivities.
If either of your parents or siblings have food intolerances it is worth checking your own system.
Additionally those with environmental allergies (pollen, dust, animal fur, etc) would also benefit
from a food test to see if something you are eating is depleting the body.
To do a test, contact me and I will then send out the kit in the post.
You to take a small blood sample (pin prick), fill out the forms
and send the kit to the lab in the envelope provided.
About 10 days later the results are sent to both of us to discuss.
Having worked with my own sensitivities over many years I can guide you to the foods you can use as replacement,
how to help heal your gut and reduce intolerances, and how to reintroduce foods
after a certain time and see if you can eat them again.
