How much consultation time?

I offer consultations at lengths of 30, 60 and 90 minutes. I prescribe on the information you give me in the consultation. Therefore the more time we have together the more comprehensive I can be with a health plan for you. Determining how much time to take depends on a few different factors.

1. What is your current state of health?

If you have a long term chronic complaint (more than 6 months) then your body is stuck in a loop somewhere and cannot find the path to healing. This will require more time to question how you came to be in this place and figure out how to get you out of it.

2. How much value do you put on health?

Prevention is the best strategy and having regular appointments helps make sure that mind, body and soul are all being taken care of. You do regular MOT appointments for your car, change the oil and filters regularly, so do the same for yourself in order to keep everything running smoothly.

3. Finances

If you plan on attending regularly, put it in your budget so that you know how much you will need to maintain your health. This applies any other type of self care activity. Put the money aside so you can take care of yourself.

4. Flexibility

You will have times in life where you feel fabulous, all is going well, and you really don't need much time with your health practitioners. Other times you will have challenges that may take all your energy to even get out of bed. When you are struggling, take the time for yourself. Make yourself a priority. You are no good to anyone else when you are overwhelmed, so recognise and appreciate that you need time for your own healing.
