Hello again and a warm welcome to the new subscribers. I hope you like the updated look of the newsletter. Please share this newsletter with friends and if you use the information, kindly give me credit.
Those of us living in London are experiencing some primal emotions. I urge you not to suppress these but rather release the energy with remedies. Holding on to fear and shock can create chaos internally, even if you appear to be collected externally.
Aconite for fear
I have covered this remedy before but want to highlight it again as it is of great use for fear and panic. Aconite is the remedy to use when there is a sense of dread or terror, leading into the common symptoms of a panic attack- palpitations, sweating, trembling, and a terrible feeling death is coming soon.
Panic can hit when you least expect it so please do keep the remedy at hand. Even if you think you are immune to recent horrors, there may be someone on the train next to you who isn't handling it so well. Help out by taking deep breaths and ask them to copy your breathing. Tell the person you have a homeopathic remedy for acute fear and ask if they would like some of it. Tell them the name of it and that they can buy it in any health store. Use a 30C strength and take as often as you need to, every five minutes if necessary, until the feeling of panic subsides.
Ignatia for loss
You can use Ignatia for grief or shock. Ignatia helps with the loss of someone or something dear and the pain is acute and intense. Ignatia is useful when the emotions seem to be all over the place and a person is having a hard time 'keeping it together'. Often s/he will be overcome with a wave of grief or horror, and feel unable to hold back tears. There can be a sensation of a lump in the throat and the nervous system can be over stimulated, leading to small twitches or a great sensitivity to pain.
People who are particularly sensitive to news reports or the suffering of others may find this remedy useful if picking up on the emotions of those around them. Be mindful of the children in your life. They often feel the energy of those around them and it can be very scary to not understand why everyone is so frightened. Again use in 30C strength and take twice a day until the emotions feel more balanced.
Arnica for shock
Thank goodness for Arnica. This simple, gentle plant is incredibly powerful. Most often known for its extraordinary effects on bruising, Arnica is also superb for mental shock. Typically after a trauma people will get to their feet, dust themselves off and assure everyone that they are absolutely fine. Well, usually they are anything but fine- it is the shock talking.
Shock can stay with us a long time. On the surface we seem to be handling things but perhaps our dreams are troubled or we become jumpy and easily startled. If you were directly involved with any of the tragedies or know someone who was, please take some Arnica. Again in a 30C strength, but take it once a day for a week.
