Vaccination confusion

In today's news the experts are now saying that combination vaccinations are not giving effective protection to children. What is a parent to do? Homeopathy can be of help whatever your decision may be. You can have your child vaccinated according to the medical schedule and use general remedies to help balance out possible side effects; you can give the vaccinations one at a time to judge reaction and then prescribe specific remedies as needed, or you can use a system of homeopathic vaccination which uses the remedies to stimulate immunity.
For my subscribers in the States, where vaccination is mandatory, you can use remedies to help reduce side effects. In particular, Silica and Thuja are the main remedies to consider. Give both remedies in a 30C once a day for three days after the vaccination. This helps the vital force to bounce back and recover quickly.
For fear and potential subsequent fever after a vaccination (quite common) use the remedy Aconite in 30C, again once a day for three days. You can use this with the other two remedies. Your child may remember the needle and have anticipatory anxiety when the time comes for the next jab. In these instances, use Aconite before and after.
Vaccination is a highly charged issue for most parents, particularly in the UK where we still have the choice. I will support whatever decision you make and help keep your baby strong. Two books I would recommend are An Educated Decision by Christina Head and if you can find it in print Mass Vaccination: A Point in Question by Trevor Gunn. Read as much as you can, discuss it with your partner, and then we can make a plan for your child.

Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy, was born 250 years ago. I read several newspaper features on homeopathy due to this anniversary. It was a mixed bag of opinions and I found the most informative and objective article in The Independent. It gives a good history plus information on the various efforts to prove or disprove homeopathy's efficiency. I have included the link below.
To test the remedies using the same criteria as prescription drugs is not really fair to homeopathy. If we were making claims that our remedies worked the same way or even better than allopathic medication, then of course we should be tested accordingly. However, that is not what homeopathy is all about.
Please do read the article. There have been experiments to test homeopathy's viability, and the results have surprised the skeptics.

I love Spring. The warmer, lighter days, the desire to go outside and enjoy nature waking up. And my garden... I had no idea how addictive gardening could be! My weekends are now spent digging and planting, trying not to hurt any of the worms that are rudely disturbed by my enthusiasm.
Last week I was merrily hacking and sawing away at tree branches, planting violas in the border and tugging out the weeds that were trying to take over the garden. While I was busy, I hardly noticed my body- my brain was too enthralled with the image of colour bursting out of the earth. The hours flew past and I noticed neither thirst nor hunger.
Then I stood up.
I cannot put words to the sensation in my body. I know the seasoned gardeners among you are smiling right now. Now I understand why gardners take a Pimm's break.
Fortunately I did no long term harm. I used the remedy Rhus Tox 30C, up to six doses, and that took away the strain and ache from my body. You can use this remedy any time you have overdone it, whether tearing around on your bike, walking or digging in the dirt.
Have a great Spring and I will be back next month!
